Major League Development & Evaluation (MLDE)

The mission of MLDE

The mission of MLDE is to be professional baseball's premier source for centralized and standardized amateur athletic talent development and evaluation.

Former and current major league baseball players, scouts, MLB executives and industry professionals will conduct all instruction, testing and evaluation through a series of 'training' camps.

We will increase the on-field effectiveness of pro scouting in baseball and provide the best opportunities for aspiring baseball prospects to be evaluated in a professional environment.

At MLDE our goals are:

• To provide athletes a stage in which they can learn and be evaluated in a consistent, efficient and professional manner
• To provide professional baseball with greater athletic credibility and increased exposure by creating a centralized reliable scouting mechanism
• To provide scouts/teams with greater efficiency and more objective tools for player evaluation

MLDE accomplishes these goals through:

• A comprehensive testing structure to include a variety of skills tests, physical measurements, psychological testing, visual acuity as well as additional relevant tests
• A system of testing where the results/athletes can be measured and tracked over time to identify common indicators of cognitive, perceptual and motor abilities to determine/ predict any commonalities leading to future success
